Back at the Meadowlands after 3 Ohio events(not complaining). I haven't been at the Meadowlands in about 2 months. Unfortunately the stadium folks sealed lot E with some sealer. We were ALL worried. Turned out it wasn't as bad as most of us thought but the grip level has definitely suffered a bit, 10-20% maybe?
Still had a blast. Jon Caserta co-drive with me. He wanted to feel out the Hankook RS3 Version 2 since he will be co-driving with David Marcus at the ProSolo Finale, on RS3v2's. Unfortunately the decrease in grip level at Meadowlands vs what it'll be at Lincoln concrete is probably a huge difference but nonetheless he got to practice on them and in a RED S2000 :D.
Interestingly enough the first 3 runs were a bit slippery but from runs 4-7 it just kept getting better and better. 2nd heat(afternoon) looked like they had more grip than us in the morning. So hopefully the sealer didn't ruin Meadowlands too much for us spoiled brats.
Overall I was pretty happy with my performance. I thought I was going to be all messed up since my prior event to this was on concrete(Wilmington), on Hoosiers in BSP! haha. Yummy.
